Host your own quiz

Set your date and venue:  
For a virtual quiz, a pub quiz, or a quiz at your workplace, pick a date and venue that works for you.

Promote your event:  
Spread the word through social media, email, or posters. Create a buzz and encourage people to sign up in advance to raise more money and awareness for Tommy’s.

Decide on the format: 
Choose your quiz style – from multiple choice to picture rounds, or even a 'spot the baby photo' game. Make sure it’s interactive and engaging for all ages and interests. Sign for our free quiz pack.

Charge an entry fee:  
Set an entry fee for people or ask them to donate to Tommy’s to join the fun. Don’t forget to provide a way for people to donate even if they cannot come along.

Ask for prizes:  
Approach local businesses to donate prizes for the winning team. Or offer your own to make the competition even more exciting. Any donations will be a huge boost to your fundraising efforts.

Fundraise during the event:  
During breaks, set up donation stations, or hold raffles to raise extra money. Encourage people to donate for extras like 'sponsor a question' or 'buy a joker card'.

Make it social:  
Create a fun and inclusive atmosphere with music, snacks, and maybe even some themed decorations. The more enjoyable the event, the more likely people are to donate and spread the word! 

Get creative: 
From general knowledge to themed quizzes (movies, music, history – you name it), you can tailor a quiz to suit any crowd, making it perfect for workplaces, social groups, or community events.

Posters:  
Display your event posters at local spots and in your workplace to get the word out.

Social media:  
Create a Facebook event page to help spread the word and keep everyone updated on your fundraising progress. Don’t forget to tag us so we can join in and show our appreciation!

Partner up:  
Reach out to local pubs or venues that already host popular quiz nights and ask if ask if they'll support you to do a charity takeover and donate the proceeds to help you save babies' lives.

Double your impact: 
Find out if your team members’ employers offer matched giving and encourage them to apply for this fantastic opportunity.

Food and drink:  
If you're offering food or beverages at your event, make sure to label them for allergens. For more guidance, visit the Food Standards Agency website.

Licensing:  
Make sure to check which licenses you might need for your quiz event. For example, selling alcohol or playing music requires specific permits.
