Baby loss information and support
Tommy's midwives helpline
Our Tommy's Midwives' helpline is for people who have had any type of pregnancy loss, including miscarriage, stillbirth, ectopic pregnancy, molar pregnancy or termination for medical reasons.
The midwives who run the line are specialists who can support you with any aspect of pregnancy loss that would be helpful for you, including mental health and pregnancy after loss.
Call 0800 0147 800 or email [email protected]. If you don't get through immediately leave your number or email. We get back to everyone.
Special Black and Black Mixed-Heritage helpline
We have a special line for Black and Mixed Black women and birthing people, in partnership with FiveXMore. We have created this service in recognition of your greater risk of pregnancy loss and complications. This is also run by Tommy's midwives and they can support on any pregnancy or pregnancy loss issue.
Facebook support groups
You can also visit our Baby loss Facebook support group or our Pregnancy and parenting after loss Facebook support group to connect with others who have been through loss. Most people who have used these groups for peer support have said that they find them helpful.

We've collected a list of the best supportive blogs, Instagram and Facebook accounts from parents who have gone through miscarriage, stillbirth, premature birth, neonatal death and termination for medical reasons (TMFR), and molar and ectopic pregnancy.

Miscarriage is the most common complication of pregnancy. 1 in 100 women have 3 or more miscarriages in a row. We want to change this. -
Stillbirth research
When a baby dies after 24 weeks of gestation, it is called a stillbirth. Around 2.6 million babies are stillborn each year. Tommy’s research is helping to change this. -
Premature birth research
Around 53,000 babies are born prematurely each year in the UK. Tommy’s is saving lives by researching how we can prevent premature births by finding those at risk early on.
