Brown Paper Packages launch Baby Loss & Miscarriage Care Box
11 October 2019
When someone experiences miscarriage, it can be difficult to know how to support them. A new gift box by Brown Paper Packages aims to change that.
Pregnancy and baby loss can be an intensely distressing and lonely experience. The boxes have been designed to provide a way to recognise pregnancy loss and show bereaved parents that you are thinking of them.
“Brown paper packages have produced these thoughtful gift boxes for mums who have lost their baby. It is so important to acknowledge the loss of a baby and be there for family and friends who experience baby loss. Little gestures of support speak volumes and let people know that they are not alone in their grief.”
Anna Nella, Tommy’s midwife
Brown Paper Packages founder Helen O’Callaghan lost three babies before her two children were born. She knows first-hand that baby loss can be an isolating experience and seeks to address this with her new product. Speaking to Tommys, Helen reflected on how difficult it can be to find the right words to say when someone loses a baby. The new Baby Loss & Miscarriage Care Box aims to help people to acknowledge pregnancy loss and comfort someone going through what can be a devastating time.
We’re delighted to announce that Brown Paper Packages will be donating 10% of their profits directly to Tommy’s to help fund vital research and save babies’ lives.
“We’re proud that Brown Paper Packages has chosen Tommy’s to benefit from the proceeds of the Baby Loss & Miscarriage Care Box. Time and time again parents tell us that no matter at what stage it occurs, the end of a pregnancy is heart-breaking. We’re grateful that not only is Brown Paper Packages providing support for parents, but will help us to continue our life-saving research for every baby through their donations”
Rosie Leverton, Corporate Partnerships Manager at Tommy’s
